Card types and charges
ASFINAG offers a range of different cards and charges depending on how frequently the special toll sections are used.
! Please note: The regular price for the annual special toll section card is EUR 92.00 (resp. EUR 97.00 for A 10). But on presentation of the lower section of your valid annual toll sticker you will receive a one-off discount of EUR 40.00 on the annual card.

Single trip card
The single trip card is valid for one trip in one direction only (for all vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight of up to 3.5 tons). No discount will be granted on this card for return trips.

Annual card
The annual card costs EUR 92.00 (resp. EUR 97.00 for A 10) and is both license plate and road section bound (i.e. it is restricted to the license plate of one single vehicle and to one specific toll section only) and is valid for one year from the date of issue.
If a new card is to be issued because the driver has lost the annual card or if the annual card is transferred to another license plate (which may only be done once), a handling fee of EUR 6.50 is to be paid at the toll station and the vehicle registration document must be presented.

On presentation of the lower section of the valid annual toll sticker you will receive a one-off discount of EUR 40.00 on the annual card.

Annual card for commuters
This card is a commuter ticket that is restricted to a particular vehicle license plate and can only be applied for by commuters who are not self-employed. In order to obtain a commuter card the following requirements must be fulfilled: the applicant must be the registered vehicle owner, must use the special toll section on the journey from his/her place of residence to his/her place of work (150 kilometers maximum) and receive a commuting allowance for the entire distance covered. The validity of the annual card for commuters is restricted to the duration of employment and limited to one year from the date of issue. If you apply for an annual card for commuters for the special toll sections on the A 9 Bosruck/Gleinalm motorway, fulfillment of the above requirements is subject to separate checks for each individual sub-section.
Discounts for conscripts
Recruits (conscripts either in compulsory military service or community service) may also apply for a special discount commuter card. As is the case for other non-self employed commuters, this card is restricted to distance covered between place of residence and place of service and the vehicle used must be registered to the applicant.
Annual card for commuters with toll sticker discount
In order to receive the annual card for commuters free of charge, applicants must fulfil the necessary requirements for obtaining a commuter card (as outlined above) and present the lower section of a valid toll sticker. For the special toll sections on the A 9 Bosruck/Gleinalm motorway, fulfillment of the above requirements is checked separately for each individual sub-section.
Discounted annual card for disabled drivers in line with Art. 29b of the Austrian Road Traffic Act (except for the A 11 motorway)
Under Art. 29b of the Austrian Road Traffic Act (Straßenverkehrsordnung, StVO) disabled persons who have the respective limitation clause entered in their driving license (e.g. brake on the steering wheel, automatic gearshift, etc.) are entitled to a discount on their annual card, provided that the vehicle is registered to the disabled person under 29b of the Austrian Road Traffic Act. The card, which costs EUR 7.00, is valid for one year from the date of issue and covers all Austrian special toll routes with the exception of the A 11 Karawanken motorway.
Annual card for disabled drivers/registered vehicle owners using the A 13 motorway
Disabled drivers (who are registered owners of the vehicle) can obtain an annual card for the A13 motorway under the same conditions as those set out for commuters (see item 4) provided that the following requirements are met:
The individual must hold an official document and disability card stating that his/her earning capacity is reduced by at least 50 per cent, such as
- people with serious disabilities sustained from wartime injuries as specified under Art 9 par 2 War Victims Welfare Act, Federal Law Gazette 152/1957;
- blind civilians with blind person’s ID;
- people with disabilities, who are able to provide evidence that they have at least 50 per cent disability;

Monthly card for the A 13 motorway
This card is license plate bound (i.e. it can only be obtained for and is restricted to one specific license plate). It entitles the holder to an unlimited number of trips on the A 13 Brenner motorway over a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue. This card is only issued on presentation of the vehicle registration document.
Resident’s card for the A 13
On presentation of a vehicle registration document, inhabitants of the Wipp and Stubai valleys will receive a resident’s card for EUR 36.00, and on presentation of the lower section of a valid toll sticker the resident’s card will be issued free of charge.
10-trip monthly card for the A 11 motorway
This card is license plate bound (i.e. it can only be obtained for and is restricted to one specific license plate). It is valid for ten trips through the Karawanken tunnel over a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue. Refund for trips not consumed will not be granted after expiry of the card.
Prepaid card for the A 11 motorway
Prepaid cards are only available for use on the A 11 motorway. The prepaid card is valid for 18 months and is transferrable (i.e. it is not restricted to a specific license plate). For each trip, EUR 4 will be deducted from the card. Credits not consumed will not be refunded after the card has expired but can be transferred to a new prepaid card when such a new card is purchased.
