Alois Schedl studied at the Vienna University of Technology graduating in construction engineering, spatial and regional planning. From 1982 to 1985 he worked in the cabinet of the Federal Minister for Construction and Economics being responsible for road construction affairs. In 1985 he was appointed Member of the Board of the Wiener Bundesstraßen AG, which he headed as Director General until 1993. From 1993 to 2005 he was Member of the Board of ÖSAG (Austrian Motorways and Expressways corporation) which he subsequently headed as sole Managing Director. In 2005, Alois Schedl became General Manager of ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH and since 25 October 2007 he has been Executive Director of ASFINAG, where his main responsibilities include planning, new construction, structural and operational maintenance.

Klaus Schierhackl attended the Mödling Higher Institute of Technical Education majoring in engineering. Having completed his studies, he went on to study business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration from 1987 to 1992. From 1991 to 1995 he worked as assistant at the Institute of Transport Economics and Logistics taking his doctoral degrees. Joined MAN in Munich where he was active in organisational development from 1995 to 1997 then working in logistics-related management consulting. In 1997, he was appointed head of ASFINAG’s Tolling Department. During his activities abroad he established close contact with ASECAP (European Association of Tolled Motorway, Bridge and Tunnel Concessionaires) and with the technical departments of the European Commission. Klaus Schierhackl was General Manager of ASFINAG Maut Services GmbH from 2005 to 2007. Since 25 October 2007 he has been Executive Director of ASFINAG, where his main responsibilities include financing, accounting, controlling, tolling and international business relations.
