DI Gernot Brandtner

Technical Director of ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH
(born 15 May 1965)

Gernot Brandtner studied industrial engineering in construction at the Graz University of Technology. From 1991 to 1995 he worked as project manager and head of department at an engineering office. From 1995 assistant to the Management Board and subsequently head of structural maintenance at the then ÖSAG. Joined ASFINAG Autobahn Service GmbH Süd in 2005 as authorised officer having commercial powers and head of the structural maintenance department. Since 1 March 2008, Gernot Brandtner has been Managing Director of ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH.

DI Alexander Walcher

Commercial Director of ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH
(born 3 June 1969)

Alexander Walcher studied landscape ecology and landscape planning in Vienna with a special focus on environmental legislation and policy. He joined the then ÖSAG in 1997 initially working in the field of procurement and from 1998 as head of new construction projects. In 2003, Alexander Walcher became head of the planning section and was appointed head of the planning department of BMG in 2005. Since 1 March 2008, he has been Managing Director of ASFINAG Bau Management GmbH.

Dr. Josef Fiala

Commercial Director of ASFINAG Service GmbH
(born 8 March 1962)

Josef Fiala studied political science and law at the University of Vienna. Having completed his studies, Josef Fiala held numerous executive functions with the Austrian Generali Group, from 1994 inter alia head of the HR and training department. From 2005 to 2008 he was member of the extended management team of Generali Holding Vienna and since 2002 has been a member of the Board of Generali Pensionskasse.
Since 1 March 2008, Josef Fiala has been Managing Director of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH and on 1th July 2010 he was appointed to the Managing Board of ASFINAG Service GmbH.

Mag. Rainer Kienreich

Technical Director of Service Gesellschaft GmbH
(born 18 January 1968)

Rainer Kienreich studied technical geology at Graz University of Technology. From 1993 he worked in the road construction department of the Province of Styria, from 2002 he was head of the motorway section at ASFINAG Service GmbH. Joined ASFINAG during transfer of operations, working in project controlling and structural maintenance. From 2008, Rainer Kienreich headed the planning for existing constructions department and was appointed head of the technical coordination department of ASFINAG Holding.
Since 17 November 2009 Rainer Kienreich has been Technical Director of ASFINAG Service GmbH.

ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH

Mag. Beate Appinger-Ziegler

Commercial Director of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH
(born June 7th 1966)

Beate Appinger-Ziegler studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics with specialization in marketing and foreign trade. She began her professional career at 3M Austria, where her career led her through almost all areas of the company, including the division “transport and personal safety”. From 2003 to 2009 she was a member of the Board, since 2007, authorized signatory. In addition, she has also served as an expert in technical committees of the FSV, in professional standard committees of the ON and in the IG road safety.
On 1st of January 2011 Mrs. Beate Appinger-Ziegler became the Commercial Director of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH.

Ing. Mag. Bernd Datler

Technical Director of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH
(born 19 April 1973)

Bernd Datler studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Having completed a trainee programme with Unilever, Bernd Datler spent four years as a management consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in Austria as well as in neighbouring countries, contributing during his last one and a half years to building up the truck tolling system. Subsequently Bernd Datler moved to Maut Service GmbH where he was appointed head of the systems development department in 2006.
Since 17 November 2009 Bernd Datler has been Managing Director of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH.

ASFINAG Alpenstrasse GmbH

DI Klaus Fink

Managing Director of ASFINAG Alpenstraße GmbH
(born 16 December 1950)

Klaus Fink studied civil and construction engineering at the University of Innsbruck from 1971 to 1978, subsequently becoming Assistant Professor at the University of Innsbruck and working at the Passer civil engineering office  in Innsbruck. In 1983, he joined Brenner Autobahn AG as head of the new constructions and maintenance department, being appointed sole authorised officer having commercial powers in 1990. In 2000, he was appointed sole chief officer of the Alpen Straßen AG.
Since the beginning of 2005 Klaus Fink has been Managing Director of ASFINAG Alpenstraßen GmbH.

Asfinag International GmbH

Dr. Hubert Resch

Commercial Director of ASFINAG International GmbH
(born 14 July 1969)

Hubert Resch studied law at the University of Vienna, following completion of his studies he worked as Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Hubert Resch then joined ASFINAG where he was inter alia responsible for the legal aspects involving the tendering procedure for the electronic tolling system (1998 to 2003). From 2003 to 2006, he was a trainee lawyer with the Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer law firm and subsequently worked as a lawyer in Vienna until 2008.
From 1 April 2008 Huber Resch has been head of ASFINAG’s legal department and since 1 September 2009 Managing Director of ASFINAG International GmbH.

Dr. Anton Sieber

Technical Director of ASFINAG International GmbH
(born 16 October 1965)
Anton Sieber studied engineering physics at the technical universities of Munich and Vienna, and subsequently business administration at Vienna Technical University and Danube University in Krems. Anton Sieber joined ASFINAG in 1998 contributing to the technical, part of the tendering process for the Austrian truck tolling system and its putting into operation. From 2005 to 2007 he headed the Corporate Strategy Department of ASFINAG.
Since September 2009 Anton Sieber has been Managing Director of ASFINAG International GmbH.

Mag. Gabriele Csoklich

Managing Director of ASFINAG European Toll Service GmbH
(born 14 January 1964)
Gabriele Csoklich studied commercial sciences at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. In 1991, Gabriele Csoklich joined ASFINAG for the first time leaving the company for one year in 1994 to work for an investment bank in London. In 1998, Gabriele Csoklich joined the Österreichische Bundesfinanzierungsagentur, where she remained until joining ASFINAG again in 2008.
Since August 2008 Gabriele Csoklich has headed ASFINAG’s Finance Department. Since December 2008 she has also been Managing Director of ASFINAG Cash Management GmbH and since March 2010 Managing Director of ASFINAG European Toll Service GmbH.

Mag. Helmut Krumböck

(born 30 July 1969)

Helmut Krumböck studied business administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Since 1992, he has held several positions in the field of controlling. Having graduated, for instance, he was involved in establishing the first alternative telecom company (UTA Telekom AG – now Tele2). Having worked in this industry for six years, he joined ASFINAG where he has headed the Accounting and Controlling Department since May 2004.
Since end of 2008 Helmut Krumböck has also been Managing Director of ASFINAG Cash Management GmbH and since March 2010 Managing Director of ASFINAG European Toll Service GmbH.
