Replacement of toll stickers

Replacement of Austrian toll stickers

In the event of a broken windscreen or if a vehicle is written-off, the holder of an Austrian annual toll sticker will receive a replacement toll sticker or reimbursement of the toll sticker costs provided that certain conditions are met.

The following evidence must be produced in order to receive a replacement toll sticker in the event of a broken windscreen:

  • Copy of the vehicle´s registration certificate
  • The removed original annual toll sticker plus lower section of the toll sticker (counter foil).
  • Copy of the invoice issued by the garage for the replaced windscreen (please do not forget to include the driver’s name in the case of a company car).
  • The completed and signed toll sticker replacement form (currently only available in German).

The following evidence must be produced in order to receive a replacement toll sticker in the event of a vehicle being written-off:

  • Original annual toll sticker (removed) plus lower toll sticker section.
  • Copy of the vehicle registration document.
  • Written evidence that the vehicle is a total write-off (document must be duly signed by the garage, automobile club or scrapping company and must clearly state that the car is a total write-off).
  • The completed and signed toll sticker replacement form (currently only available in German).

!   Please note that a replacement toll sticker will only be issued where there are no claims against third parties.
