Special toll for vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight of up to 3.5t

Apart from the motorways and expressways that are subject to the mandatory toll sticker system and indicated in orange on the map, there are also so-called special toll routes (indicated in blue on the map) in Austria. The special toll levied for these routes (the cost-intensive Alpine crossings) can be paid either directly at the local toll station or in advance by purchasing a video toll card. The special toll routes are exempt from the mandatory toll sticker requirement.
