The training measures and the offerings for preventive healthcare and work safety are correspondingly extensive: They range from lectures and information in the intranet and in-house training, to external training for particularly hazardous areas, for example for working in canals and shafts.
For different occupational groups, for management, fire protection control or safety ombudspersons we organise specially tailored training programmes. Actual accidents as well as near-accidents are continuously monitored and evaluated. In the year 2017, the number of accidents increased slightly, from 68 (in 2016) to 80. As a result, the number of days at work increased from 925 to 991.
To ensure that this positive trend continues, we are continuing to define new priorities: In 2016 we created a new code of practice for working on ASFINAG roads, and we developed our own work safety app on the ASFINAG intranet. This informs users about all guidelines and procedures related to worker and health protection, provides an overview of current hazards and preventive measures, and contains all important safety and health protection documents for every location.
We hope that this will help to keep the accident rate just as low in the coming years!
