Tolling regulations

Until 31 March 2025 vehicles up to 3.5 t with Ukrainian license plates are temporarily exempt from paying the toll in Austria, regarding both vignette and section toll.  In addition, cars, regardless of their nationality, don't need a vignette if they are transporting refugees as part of an aid service. All you have to do is apply for a toll exemption before starting your journey. The same applies to humanitarian aid transports to Ukraine and applies to all types of vehicles - from cars to trucks and buses.

Please fill out the following application forms as required and send them to ausnahmeantrag@asfinag.at. Applications for toll exemption must be submitted before the journey begins.
